JOHN WACASEY

Natural Science Educator

John is a lifelong lover of nature for its beauty, wisdom and inspiration. His outdoor activities include running, hiking, camping and stargazing. His outdoor activities have included training for and running marathons and trail ultramarathons, hiking mountains like Pikes Peak and canyons like the Grand Canyon rim to rim, camping numerous times in Texas parks through the years, and stargazing at Big Bend National Park and McDonald Observatory near Fort Davis, Texas, to name a couple places.

He grew up in Houston, Texas, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, worked most of his career in the corporate world in Houston, and now has called the Texas Hill Country home for the past few years.

He enjoys sharing his knowledge, passion and enthusiasm for the great outdoors with others to make the world a better place for us all to live and prosper. He is glad to have found Westcave Preserve because it is such a wonderful part of the natural world where he can fulfill this purpose.
