Westcave Preserve Volunteer Program
Westcave Preserve relies on our volunteers to help us preserve this beautiful sanctuary and provide quality environmental education to schoolchildren and the general public.
There are many benefits to volunteering at Westcave including:
- Free membership
- Invitation to an annual volunteers event
- Personal growth through specialized training in:
- Central Texas plants and animals
- The features of the Environmental Learning Center such as the solar observatory, nature's numbers, geology, and rainwater harvesting.
Westcave Preserve Volunteer Positions
Westcave Preserve relies on our volunteers to help us preserve this beautiful sanctuary and provide quality environmental education to schoolchildren and the general public. Current volunteer positions include:
- Greeters - Greet guests and guide them through the features of the Environmental Learning Center. We are particularly in need of weekend greeters.
- Tour Guides - Lead visitors on guided tours of Westcave Preserve and introduce them to the plants, animals, and geology of this natural gem.
- Gardening and Trail Maintenance - Help us preserve our grounds by watering and pruning plants near the Environmental Learning Center and assisting with trail maintenance as needed.
