Amanda Gelalecha
Education Coordinator
Amanda has had a love of all things nature and exploration from a young age and especially loves to share it with others. From exploring the Pineywoods of Texas to marveling at the Pacific Ocean, she has always been drawn towards the wonder of nature and sought out the hobbies of traveling and photography to deepen her understanding.
Studying at The University of Texas at Austin, she received a BS in Radio, TV, Film. During her college career, she did video work at the Mission-Aransas Estuarine Research Reserve and worked with researchers on staff to present research and conservation efforts to the public. This experience left a lasting impression on her. She has since become passionate about sustainability, conservation, and interpretation of the natural world. She joined the Westcave team in 2023 as the Education Coordinator to pursue these passions further.
